Overview
I designed a custom card game inspired by Top Trumps, celebrating the top 30 roller coasters in the United States. This self-initiated project merges bold visuals with fast-paced fun, tailored for thrill seekers and coaster fans.
Objective
The goal was to create an engaging, collectible-style card deck that combines entertainment with bite-sized facts. Each card needed to balance visual appeal with accessible data for easy comparison during gameplay.
Design Approach
Each card features dynamic imagery, colorful layouts, and clear iconography for ride stats including speed, height, and g-force. I developed a consistent typographic system to ensure readability while maintaining an energetic, theme-park-inspired aesthetic. Visual hierarchy played a key role in organizing information while keeping the design playful and approachable.
Outcome
The final result is a vibrant and cohesive 30-card set that’s both collectible and functional. This project highlights the ability to blend graphic design with information design, creating a unified product experience across a themed card deck. The deck was professionally printed and produced as a physical set.
